Fungi Raptor - Illustration

The first in a series I'm making called "Overgrown". A personal project where I combined 2 of my favorite things to create - dinosaurs, and plant life. I was inspired by Clickers from the Last of Us. The sketch I provided was my original design in my sketchbook from my college days. Earlier this year, I took the design and re-vamped it to the final piece. I love the challenge of trying to make a terrifying creature appear elegant and beautiful.
To create the final piece, I started with line-work, then shaded in black and white, then applied color patterns with Overlays and other layer effects.
There are 4 color variations total, and I made the designs available to be printed on items from my Society 6 store page. Feel free to check them out if you are interested :) https://society6.com/artbykalilak
